Shakna: Assault on the Hive

"Outsiders might have thought it strange that a being of Shakna's nature might grow tired, sleep, or even require sustenance. But he (or she, or it — such concepts were irrelevant to a Shanask) was tired — aching with weariness to the depths of his very soul. "The journey had been long and difficult. Moving an entire world was an undertaking which strained the resources even of Shakna's kind. Still, Shakna and the other Shanask who now inhabited the Sorce-moon knew that they had no choice. Terrible events were unfolding, and it was their task — no, their duty — to stop them. Shakna watched as glowing blue lines of Sorce energy burned brightly, then faded, revealing the battered proto-planet below. Soon, the inhabitants would be arriving and there was much to discuss..."

GURPS Banestorm: Abydos

Excerpt from the back cover blurb:
Abydos: The merest whisper of the name sends shivers down the spines of the God-fearing people of Yrth. What lurks in the forbidden city of Abydos is so great a heresy, the Church suppresses all mention of its very existence. But such loathing has no meaning for the shambling, silent bodies who roam the streets of Abydos. The undead are the greatest resource of the necromantic priests who practice their dark heresies in that city. Their beliefs and mandates are backed by the blades of highly trained soldiers and a very silent majority. Written by fan-favorite author David Pulver (co-author of GURPS Fourth Edition), GURPS Banestorm: Abydos gives full details on the City of the Dead. This book describes Abydos' history, its religious and temporal organizations, and key features within the city itself. It also includes descriptions of major people and beings of the city, as well as adventure ideas and plot hooks for incorporating Abydos into your campaign.

Rise of the Dead

This is a convention scenario with highly detailed characters and handouts intended for a theatrical style presentation in a single long session. Six days ago the hammer fell. The red comet did not strike the planet, but it was a near miss. Fragments smashed into the earth bringing tidal waves, storms, and fallout. This was a rage of elemental destruction that devastated most of the planet. Millions, perhaps even billions, have died. The main mass of the comet seems to have entered regular orbit. A red eye rises at night and glares balefully through an occasional rent in the near perpetual cloud cover: a hellish new moon added to the sky. Communications are out. Who knows what is happening out there? It seems like you will be on your own for some time.
