KS10: Spider Hunt!

A foraging party stumbles onto a new species of spider and ignites a hunt for the creature's fiery web.

Two Order of the Jade Leaf scouts retreat from newly discovered Harlass Orn ruins when confronted by large red spiders. One of the scouts strikes a spark when his sword scrapes a wall, which ignites a portion of the spider webs in a large fireball. The characters are sent by the Order of the Jade Leaf to retrieve samples of flammable spider web.

Spider Hunt! is a Simple Scenario designed for 3-5 Seasoned characters.

KS11: The Repository

A mysterious cavern holds constructs inert since the end of an ancient war.

A thousand years ago, the Harlass Orn thrived in the swamps surrounding Kith'takharos. At the height of their achievements, the Harlass Orn fought a desperate war against extra-dimensional creatures called Veilwalkers. The Veilwalkers created numerous battle constructs and placed them in storage facilities called repositories. The characters encounter a Veilwalker repository that houses a cache of deactivated constructs.

The Repository is a Simple Scenario for 3-5 Veteran characters.

KS12: The Hideout

A fragment of an ancient bridge offers a commanding view of the surrounding swamp-and a defensible refuge for poachers.

Outlaws called poachers roam the swamps and nearby river lands. Poachers continuously spar with the Order of the Jade Leaf, waylaying shipments of swamp plant products, dodging and fleeing patrols. They turn remote islands or forgotten ruins into bases. The characters stumble upon a poacher hideout at the ruins of a Harlass Orn bridge.

The Hideout is a Simple Scenario for 3-5 Novice to Seasoned characters.

A vile, toxic stench rises from the junkyard at the edge of town, here more than anywhere else. The odor is a nauseating combination of rotting flesh and dizzying chemicals, the telltale signs of a tannery. A small ramshackle establishment sits at the junkyard's edge, outside of which hang all manner of hides curing in the sun or simply laid out for display. Flies buzz in the air out back as a hired hand renders skinless corpses into meat to be sold at the market. In the shaded area out front a few primitive folk admire the skins and barter with the robed owner for a good price.

The gentleman known locally as "Skinner" runs a simple establishment dealing in furs and pelts, both rare and mundane alike. Popular among tribal folk from the neighboring badlands, his small business built near the edge of town sees a lot of visitors, mostly from folk venturing in from the desert to sell off skins taken from animal predators (or livestock their tribes cultivate for a livelihood). Skinner's has since become something of a gathering place for tribesmen eager to make some coin before moving deeper into the ruins to spend said cash in the city's ribald drinking holes.

Skinner has been wildly successful, finding numerous customers in the city who are willing to pay top dollar for exotic hides, as well as hunters and scavs willing to haul strange carcasses dozens of miles just to sell their skins at his shop. Despite having a shop that reeks of the smell of death (an unavoidable part of the business), Skinner has managed to make himself important to the local economy, turning a tidy profit while also serving as a link between the area's wilderness dwellers and their counterparts living in the urban ruins.

Arax is a dark and dangerous world and a time of reckoning is approaching. The ancient empires of men, dwarfs and elves are crumbling, beset on all sides by the dark hordes of the orcs, goblins, demons and the undead. 

The once magnificent elven forests, at one time beautiful, green and lush, are now withering and dying, the magically-crafted towers and wondrous tree-cities that lie within broken and shattered. Only the elven talent at manipulating mana, the magical force that permeates Arax, has stopped their race from being wiped out.

The dwarven fortresses built high in the mountains of Arax are now overrun with goblins, who burrowed up through the earth and attacked from within the otherwise impenetrable fortress walls. One by one the fortresses fall and, although the dwarven courage and skill with weapons is legendary, even they find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer number of goblins pouring in to their homes.

And humanity find themselves sorely pressed on all sides, their cities and towns constantly raided and besieged. The barbaric orc tribes march down from the north, pillaging everything in their path. The necromantic legions from the southern desert kingdoms shamble forward, unrelenting in their march towards the human lands. Some humans even turn against their own, worshipping demonic powers in secret and plotting the downfall of their race from within.

The final battles that will decide the fate of Arax are fast approaching. Soldiers line up on opposite sides of the battlefield, ready to lay down their lives in service to their commander. Will you lead your troops to ultimate victory, or will you fail in your leadership and suffer humiliating, crushing defeat?

“Ladies and gentlemen, I assure you this bombing run on the enemy’s base at Tango Prime will be a milk run.  Sixty minutes and you’ll be toasting each other at the O’Club during happy hour, I, Captain Willis Thompson Seagrave, promise.”

Six pilots did indeed toast each other at happy hour–as survivors who had left thirty-six dead, “absent on the field of battle.”  Tango Prime stood unharmed.  Her flak towers had functioned perfectly, for the commandos never pierced the base’s formidable citadel.  Intelligence briefing officer Capt Willis Seagrave was found drowned in a vat of milk.  The board of inquiry could find no forensic evidence, no testimony as to his demise, which was ruled suicide.

Finger and Toe Models announces the release of TANGO PRIME: FLAK TOWER, a massive 28mm, modular sci-fi air defense complex.  The central tower is three inches square and eight high–twelve with the radar on top.  The four inch high turret towers can be connected with either six inch long walkways or four inch long connector buildings.  Rail guns stationed on the turret towers insure the safety of your base.  Close in weapons systems on the central tower defends the complex itself.  Atop the central tower search and fire control radars seek their targets.

Since this is a TANGO PRIME series model, it is scaled and textured to fit all the other Finger and Toe Tango Prime sets, while also being compatible with the ARSENAL series of standalone weapons and the weapons of Guns of Pavarone.

In your dreams, endless rows of reptilian humanoids lay upon couches. Each body writhes in pain, but you know with the unerring assurance of the dream that all are sleeping. A wavering voice swirls throughout the room, rising and falling in intensity, finally resolving into words: "When will the dreamers awaken?"

More than a thousand years ago, the reptilian race of Harlass Orn inhabited the swamps surrounding Kith'takharos. Their greatest architectural triumph was the construction of nine Teleportation Towers. These towers also precipitated the Harlass Orn downfall, for the magic employed in large-scale teleportation allowed malicious extra-dimensional creatures called Veilwalkers to enter normal space.

The Harlass Orn sought shelter in a magically protected refuge called Tarass Shar Orn. Here they planned to hibernate until the Veilwalkers left normal space. But the Veilwalker named Dreamseeker infiltrated Tarass Shar Orn and transformed the dreams of the sleeping Harlass Orn into perpetual nightmares. Now the Dreamseeker slowly consumes their minds.

The Dreamers Awaken is an OGL 3.5 adventure for 4-6 characters of Seventh and Eighth Levels, with an estimated 25 hours of playing time. The characters must enter Tarass Shar Orn to free the sleeping Harlass Orn, battling the Dreamseeker's constructs before confronting the Veilwalker in its place of power: the Dream Realm, where the laws of physics do not apply and thought becomes reality.

This 64 page PDF contains all the information necessary to run the adventure.
