1 Session Dungeons - A Kraken on the Causeway

One session dungeons: does exactly what it says on the tin.
These mini adventures are designed to be playable within the space of an evening game lasting no more than a few hours, though the rate at which your players complete the 1SDs will depend on the game system you're using to play.
The adventures are playtested with D&D 3.5 edition which has a combat rules system complex enough to ensure a thorough test of the one session rule, but you can play these dungeons with any system you like.
Each short, sweet, skirmish based adventure comes with a battle map (compatible with one inch figure bases and designed to be repro printed to hi-res), player handout(s), suggested scenarios and a printable PDF version of the battlemap in A4 sections.
In addition the maps and handouts come with an End User License which allows other publishers to extract them for use in their own products.
1SD6 A KRAKEN ON THE CAUSEWAY
The town of Flakstone is haunted of late by a creature from the deep. No one dares to take a boat into these waters, for the beast has already claimed many lives. The townsfolk say the lair of the monster lies beneath an abandoned chapel on the Island of the Lost Sword, but the only way onto the island is a natural stone causeway and a long, lonely walk across the sea.
This 1SD comes with two full size battle maps, one of the crypt beneath the island chapel and one of the stone causeway.

Fate Deck

When a player rolls a natural 1, they draw from the Fate Deck. The cards in the deck range from -3 to +3. The player can spend points to gain bonuses to reroll saving throws, attacks, etc. The DM can spend negitive points to allow monsters to reroll attacks, force players to reroll attack, etc. The DM can take out positive, or negitive cards depending on whether fate favors the players.
If you're looking to add a bit of excitment to "critical failures" give this deck a try.
To print it out in Adobe Reader, change page scaling to “Multiple Pages Per Sheet” and pages per sheet to “3 by 3″.

The Royalty

The Dungeon of the Rat
Publisher: Lone Delver GamesThe village of Millet's Crossing is a small and unassuming place. There is little of interest to the wandering sword-for-hire except for a nice inn and a general store. But the Troll's Trove provides a welcome bit of rest and relaxation to your band of road-weary adventurers. Just as soon as you have settled in, however, your host offers you a rather odd business proposition. It seems that the Troll's Trove has rats in it's cellar and these rats are stealing things all over town. What is really odd is that they are leaving behind small jade rat statues. A nice reward awaits those that can clear out the infestation and put a stop to the thefts. It appears to be a simple task, but one must be careful; even rats have gods.
This book contains details for the village of Millet's Crossing and the Dungeon of the Rat which lies right beneath the calm, rural community. The Dungeon of the Rat is suited for a party of four to six first-level characters. A mix of character types is recommended including at least one wizard and one rogue.
