Finger and Toe Models announces the release of PALACE, third in the ancient Egyptian PHARAOH series. This 28mm PDF card stock set can be used as an objective or simply as terrain in your skirmish (or tactical) battles or roleplaying adventures-all on fifteen sheets of photorealistic models. The set includes a 4'x6" "big house"(the original meaning of PHARAOH) with interior that can be stacked then balconies and a rooftop added. A smaller (3"x4") building with a removable top and detailed interior can be used to create kitchens, storerooms, or quarters for the harem. An ornamental gate and walls can be used to encircle the compound, which can then be landscaped with date palms.
Of course, PHARAOH: PALACE can be used with any fantasy system using 28mm figures-and any back story you devise. The buildings can be used for any setting where adobe is the primary architecture, although the smaller building does contain Egyptian frescoes on the interior walls.

GDW Game Designers' Workshop started publication of a trilogy set in The New Era: three Traveller novels by Paul Brunette chronicling a ship and its crew in the chaos after the rebellion. It started with The Death of Wisdom, and continued with To Dream of Chaos, but GDW (like the Third Imperium) was embroiled in chaos, and closed it doors in 1996, without releasing the third novel.
Fast Forward:
Ten years later, Marc Miller wanted to know how it ended. The manuscript for the original third novel was lost, so Marc teamed up with writer Matthew Carson to puzzle out the truth.
They read and outlined the first two novels, and from that developed their own ideas of the story arc. Then they compared notes and outlined the third novel... a suitable ending to the stories that went before.
Matthew then commenced writing, and over the course of two years produced a 300,000 word manuscript that tied up the loose ends and resolved the story line.
Who Would Have Imagined?
That at that point, the original manuscript emerged from the secret archives of GDW! Now there were TWO manuscripts... the TNE trilogy had TWO endings: the original and the alternate. The work by Miller and Carson make the alternate ending the preferred climax to the series, but there is still the original manuscript to consider. Which one is better? Which one more faithfully carries the story line forward?

Price: $5.99While the Germans are the most famous users of armed motorcycles, thanks to their MG34 armed BMW cycle/sidecar combinations, they were by no means the first to come up with the concept. The first to use machinegun-toting motorcycles were the British, who employed them as part of the Motor Machine Gun Corps and its successor units from 1915 to 1918.
They mounted the water-cooled Vickers medium machinegun on the Clyno motorcycle with a customized van sidecar, which was probably the best bike made in Britain at the time, holder of dozens of hill climb records, which was at the time considered the optimum means of measuring a motorcycle's offroad ability.

Midnight Rose is an old, well worn ship that has seen many owners and extensive modification over the years. A common Grendel-class transport, it was designed for light cargo and passenger duty needing a minimal crew (though with bunks for more). After a decade in the hands of Captain Graham Jacobi the ship has been modified and customized dozens of times, but cleaned less than twice. It may look like a derelict from the outside but she has it where it counts. The ship is well armed for a vessel of its size and unassuming demeanor as Jacobi has outfitted the vessel for use as a privateer as well as a transport ship. With improved armor and a turret augmenting the fixed forward guns, Rose can deter casual pirates and add the occasional bounty to smuggling profits.
In addition to the battered and dilapidated Rose, maps and descriptions are provided for a newer model of the same type of transport. This cleaned up variant has a deck layout modified to maximize cargo capacity. Pages can be mixed between the two and a couple of pages with empty rooms (for further customization) are thrown in as well. Either option can support a crew of one to six in a wide variety of missions.
