SUPER MISSIONS
The god Killer
by Darrel Miller
Tyrannical Rex has fought Power-Man for decades. Their battles have raged from the mundane to the cataclysmic, shattering dimensions. All has been in vain however as Tyrannical Rex has never been able to best his hated rival. Until now. For the last few years Rex has been in hiding, presumably giving up a life of crime, but he wasn't, he was planning and plotting, he visited the Void, and brought back a weapon capable of harming the unharmable man. In fact he has more than just maimed, he has killed the god. And now, with his greatest threat removed, he is going to crown himself King of the World.
This Mission gives your players a concrete set up (and reward) for pursuing their own goals. Included is the mission and a character write up for Tyrannical Rex.

Draining the last few gulps of a frothy ale, you happen to overhear a pair of weather-worn fishermen discussing a curious site they saw several days ago. Intrigued by their conversation, you purchase them a round of drinks and ply the old sea dogs for more information. You soon learn that two days sail east is a huge sprawling mat of dangerous sargassum weed. According to the fishermen, the bed is truly gargantuan, stretching for more than a league in any direction. However, this is not the interesting bit, for swamped in the thick morass of sargassum weed, the fishermen claim to have seen the burned remains of the Leeward District of Caradin!
Caradin, the city built upon the seas, a lashed-together mass of ancient warships, merchant galleys, cogs, caravels, and barges. You had heard that the city was recently sacked by the Reforgule and his evil minions, but if these fishermen tell the truth, the Leeward District of Caradin, including the City Mint, broke free of the burning city and drifted off into the sargassum tangle. A city mint must be filled to overflowing with gold, silver, and precious metals! All you have to do is convince these fellows to tell you how to get there! Of course, safely navigating around the sargassum will be difficult, and dealing with anything that is already there might be a challenge...but, that is why adventurers travel in a group right?
This map set and area index are meant to be a generic framework suitable for virtually any gaming system. With a minimum of work, a gamemaster can input creature stat blocks, toss in a few interesting treasure bits, flesh out a few big scenes and PRESTO an instant classic adventure is born!

Price: $4.99Standing proudly upon the highest point of Coldport is the iconic grey stone edifice known to the local population as the Lord's Tower. In distant times, the tower served as a rally point for defenders of the city as well as the seat of the ruling lord of the newly founded town. As the town grew into a city, the tower was supplanted by bigger and stronger fortifications and was left to sit in dilapidated deterioration for many years. Eventually it was granted as a gift of service to a young hedge wizard who began to repair and renovate the aged structure. And thus did the tower become the headquarters for the Pyromancer's Guild under the guidance of the now wise mage, Mabelote the Faceless. The guild prospered and grew in influence, until it was ultimately passed on to a promising young pupil, Rapuno Pang. Shortly after taking over the guild, Rapuno disappeared suddenly. The apprentices attempted to hold the guild together for some time, but when the city fell to invaders it was abandoned and left to molder in obscurity for many years. Now new tenants have taken over the venerable building and rumors have begun to spread throughout the city regarding what is going on below the Lord's Tower...
The Lord's Tower is the perfect base for a den of noble villains, a rich merchant harboring decadent smugglers below, or a band of successful adventurers.

The raucous screeching and squawking emanating from the aviary associated with the Rosticeria Calatrava acts as siren's call for all those locals who have discovered divine pleasure of Orfeo Calatrava's roasted birds. Slow roasted over a bed of glowing red coals on a spinning rotisserie, these succulent morsels are served through an open shutter right on the main street for just a few coins each. Those not interested in eating the residents of the aviary can make an appointment to review the exotic specimens that are for sale as pets.
Located above the cacophonous aviary is a small apartment and perfumery. The apartment is owned by the Calatrava's downstairs and rented by the month for a modest sum. The perfumery is known for its unique cutting edge scents and is often visited by clientele that typically would not be caught dead in this area of town.

The Everyone Everywhere List gives you percentile lists of male, female, and surnames from every major European, Middle Eastern, and Oriental culture in the world. Running a game in a different time period? It's got lists for Colonial through Wild West America, Vikings, and ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans. Plus a bonus section of pulp /noir names and nicknames for gritty encounters in the 1930s-50s.
GM: "...so your orders are to sneak into the General's mansion and rescue the hostage."
Player Andy: "What's the General's wife's name? Maybe we could investigate that angle."
Player Bob: "Let's make it eight hostages for a little challenge."
Player Chris: "What are all the hostages' names? How about some French and some Korean."
GM: "Korean? Um, just a second..."
NO PROBLEM! Roll a few percentile dice, consult the lists of your choice, and keep up the momentum, even if the players go in an unexpected direction (such as the General's bedroom).
GM: "General Draskovic's wife is Zorica. The eight hostages are Aurelie Bourmont, Jeung Soo-kyung..."
This is not a computer program that combines phonemes. You peruse the lists and pick the names you want, or roll percentile dice for a random name. If you didn't enjoy rolling dice, you'd be playing tennis right now. There are no Elf or Orc names. If you play fantasy, try the Viking, Mongolian, and Ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman lists. Irish is great for rogues and bards. There's no etymology of each name- they're going to shoot General Draskovic on sight, not ponder his ancestry. Plus, all of the bad art is concentrated on the cover; there's no fluff, just thirty pages of solid name tables.
The Everyone Everywhere List contains names for: African (Eastern, Western, Southern, and Central), Arabic, Early American, Chinese, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Ancient Egyptian, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Ancient Greek, Hungarian, Indic, Iranian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Jewish-American, Mongolian, Norwegian, Polish, Polynesian, Portuguese, Ancient Roman, Romanian, Russian, Scottish, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, Vikings, Pulp/noir, pulp villains, and modern youth names for those meddling kids.
Buy it for yourself to find a perfect name for every character, and their family, and trusty cohorts. Buy it for your GM to enrich your game with interesting villains and NPCs- and to make your GM happy! That's always a good move.

The death throes of science amid the birth of magic sculpted new generations of conquerors who strode the lands forging civilizations of steel, sinew, and sorcery from the decrepit hulks of the ones that fell before. Tyrannical wizards, amoral super-scientists, charismatic catalysts, and multifarious mutants battled for wealth, power, and honor. It was ten thousand years of barbarity; ten thousand years spent in the shadowy shells of past glories, hiding from horrible creatures that scratched and skittered for blood; ten thousand years of tyranny and injustice, ten thousand years of Sorcery & Super Science!

Spider's Dance is a rolepaying game for one person who takes on the role of a famiy of spider spirits. It is a simple game played a number of times in a competitive fashion, but where the player competes against themselves in an attempt to overcome their previous actions. It is simple, yet strategic, it uses no dice and follows a simple set of patterns; it may be possible to "win" the game or it may not. Such things will require many attempts at play before they are truly understood. Mother Spider's wisdom is hidden within the webs of her children.
Spider's Dance may be played by a single person as an exercise in generating a setting for another roleplaying game, it may be used as a logic puzzle, or it may be used as a communal gaming tool for a group of players. Iterations of play begin easily, but only through careful planning can the game be successfully completed.
